It is perfect for making curtains, drapes, cushions and other interior home projects. Our customers have used this material on occasions when a substantial clothing fabric is required and dressmaking velvet has been a little too lightweight for the job - such as making an outdoor coat or jacket or a theatrical costume that is going to be given continuous hard wear

We don't recommend it for upholstery work unless the item is for decorative purposes only. There’s a very good reason for this - the pile is not sturdy enough to cope with the everyday wear and tear required for seating or foot stools etc. For such projects, you need our upholstery fabrics
